"Average hotel - perfect location"
The hotel was nothing more than average - you've seen it a thousand times before. However, it's location more than made up for averageness. The room was clean, and the cleanup crew did a good job every day. The reception and concierge were helpfull and nice. I guess the averageness is nice, when you only use the place to sleep :)

"Was O.K"
The location was awesome, you can get easy to public transport with just 1-2 minute walk. Really nice staff which will make your stay comfortable. The shower water pressure is very poor and the rooms are relatively small.

"I don't need tea, wifi or or television"
The Eden is ideally located near restaurants, coffee shops and trams. I have stayed there a number of times over the course of 3 years. Unless you plan on sitting in your room all day, drinking tea and surfing the web I'm not sure what the negative reviews are about. The concierge (I his name is Rob), is amiable, professional...just a good guy. He has been very helpful to my son and I over the years. Of course the surrounding area can get noisy! Front desk provides free ear plugs. You're in the middle of Amsterdam. I do agree with some reviewers opinions that the girls at the front desk could be friendlier but who cares...they're relatively hot. The hotel, in general is modern and clean. A few hairs in the bathroom never bothered me anyway. If I don't stay at the Eden when in AMS I rent a houseboat. it is of course a more expensive option.

"Excellent Location, Rooms not great for the proce."
Booked the hotel a few months ago after looking at various different options. The pictures of the rooms online look very good, but as always in reality the rooms are not really worth the price. I could not justify paying even more money for a canal view as it was expensive enough as it was, so our view was straight into other peoples windows over a small light inlet. First night the air-con would not work properly, then then next day it leaked water all over the floor. This was rectified quickly though my reception. Staff we very friendly and helpful and the amenities were first class. Just glad we never spent much time in our room!

"Great Apartment"
We booked one of the apartments belonging to the hotel. Access was from the street and included a climb up four flights of stairs which become increasingly steep but it was manageable for us. The apartment had a a lounge, a kitchen/dining area, two bedrooms, a shower room and a separate toilet. A bonus was a Nespresso coffee machine which we made great use of. In our view two things were lacking, a frying pan and a toaster but everything else was great. The view from the apartment was breathtaking. Highly recommend a visit.
